Resources for the Future – in conjunction with Stanford University – has published its Climate Insights 2024: American Climate Policy Opinions survey. And unfortunately, like previous research, it is less than stellar news for those who support action to address climate change.
Not even the jobs component of the survey registered positive results despite that being an aspect of the government’s climate change effort that should be universally positive.
I have been beating the drum about the misguided climate change strategy and woefully poor messaging that has created results such as this. About a month ago, I published a 4-part series on overall attitudes toward climate change, and a 3-part series specifically on the issues related to messaging and how to correct them.
If anyone is interested in reading those posts I’d be happy to send a consolidated version.
Today’s post reviews some of the most recent survey’s findings on the economic impact of the government’s actions.
